Product Reviews
Izziwotnot’s Bailey Sleigh cot-bed isn't cheap however it's stylish and well made. It's simple to put together however, it requires two people. It's stunning in any nursery. Our panel loved the dark wood and the dowel sides, and is sturdy enough to be used until your baby becomes a toddler. It also conforms to British safety standards. The depth is not enough that your child can get out and the distance between slats should not exceed 65mm. This should stop their heads from becoming stuck. It's important to keep in mind that you will need to purchase a mattress separately and that's an extra PS88.
The sleigh shape of this crib is stunning and makes it stand out from the others. It's also very easy to put your baby in and out of this cot, which is a huge plus. It's a bit more expensive than some other cots, but our panel thought it was worth the extra cost for the look and the durability.
The cot bed is available in a choice of walnut or country pine finishes and is suitable for babies from birth. It has three mattress heights, so that you can begin by placing your child high, making it easier for them to access throughout the day or at night. Then lower it as they get older. It comes with teething rails that protect your child's furniture and gums. When your child is out of the cot bed it can be converted to a junior bed and then it can be converted into a sofa.
The westport design by Silver Cross is another cot that is sturdy and designed to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, later as a toddler bed, and finally as an adult bed. (Toddler guard rail is available separately). Our panel found it difficult to convert from cot to bed, however their other half said it was easy and took less than five minutes to complete. It's also slightly more expensive than other cots, but it's the kind of style that you'll likely want to keep and use for your children as they grow older.
